The Hurt Locker
Our showing of The Hurt Locker went really well. Dr. Rust illustrated some cool connections between the film's main character being named William James and the American pragmatist William James. Basically, James was the first to ask how men could define themselves outside of the terms of war, and the film seems to suggest that some men cannot- or perhaps, even shouldn't.
Also, President Elliot Gallion and I went this past Sunday to a screening of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly at the Enzian. It was amazing. I hadn't seen all of the movie before, but it's hilarious and a great one to enjoy with an audience. I also decided that what film is missing today is Ennio Morricone scores or even just music that is so intimately connected with the feel of the film. Then it clicked why Inglourious Basterds was so good.

Lexie
